“Carole created a kitchen and dining room space that enhanced the living room area of my home. She suggested colors for my walls that embraced the diversity of my artwork. She encouraged me to not only think about what I wanted in those spaces but how it would make me feel when I entered those spaces during the morning, afternoon or evenings. I benefited from her spirit, heart and commitment to creating spaces where great dinners happened, celebrations occurred and warm memories were created.” W. Nelson-Shimabukuro (Seattle, WA)

“Carole exposed us to flooring, color schemes, and furnishings we never could have imagined on our own; She took the time to help us find interior options that not only dazzle, but reflect our own personal style.”   J. King (Edmonds, WA)

“I absolutely love the new furnishings in my office, all thanks to Carole’s wonderful sense of style. Working with a designer was a new experience for me, and Carole patiently walked me through the process, and along the way helped me discover my style preferences. Carole did an amazing job of selecting beautiful furniture and art that really transformed my very drab office, and even designed a custom lamp using a thrift store vase as the base. I get compliments continually from visitors to my office. I’m very happy with my new space, and grateful for Carole’s special touch!” R. Moses (Seattle, WA)

“In visiting with a friend shortly after her home remodel was completed, I was in awe with the ambience and grace it presented. We talked about the process she had gone through and how very important her designer was in having all the pieces --- from furnishings and accessories to color --- fit together.

I know what I like when I see it. I have a harder time making choices to achieve an effect. More often than not, I choose to be “blah beige” and accessorize to attain color effects I like. After seeing my friend’s home, I invited Carole to propose ideas for doing “just the great room and kitchen areas.” She spent time in every room, getting the feeling of each. She also pointed out the fact that my home tended to blend one room into the other, so that what I did in one had an effect on the others. I contracted with Carole to establish a plan I would do gradually, over time, with emphasis on the first two areas. However, when I discovered what she had in mind, I determined to do the whole house. It is stunning!
I have particularly beautiful woodwork and trim --- all of which just blended into the beige walls. Now it all “pops” and brings a particular beauty to each room. Carole chose serenity for my office space; warmth and comfort for the great room and TV room; elegance for the front/piano room; grace for the guest room; and “fun” for the back bath. She worked from colors in my favorite art work and furnishings. My master bedroom, in particular, is exquisite in the colors she pulled from the custom spread and drapes. And, she chose a wonderful sage green to tie the halls and rooms together. It is hard to know which is my favorite.

Given the very tall space in my kitchen and dining rooms, she called upon a decorative painter to design the walls with a subtle pattern that enhanced the granite counters, wood cabinetry and floors, and the dining room set. Visitors are generally floored when they come into my home. Few can believe that “blah beige Ruth” would have done something like this. And, believe me, without Carole’s expert vision and talent, I would not have. Her work ethic is impeccable; she is complete and timely in every way.”  R. Anderson (Bothell, WA)
